Im not feeling well again, having the dreaded flu, cough and the throat feels like sand paper and as well as major migrane. If that is not already bad, im limping as well..
Yup amazing combination aint it! The limping was due to a fall i had last Sunday, a very bad one at it as well as it was another humiliating encounter to add to my 'lis-is-a-klutz' list, tsk tsk..so i hit a nerve on my knee during the fall, the excruciating pain had lessen since last sunday of course since mama had brought me to this old lady who's gifted and still witty i should say for woman who is already almost past a century not to mention that she's half blind to massage my injury.


Oh well besides my own health sucks right now everything else seems to be on the bright side..hehe oh not that im falling 'yet' or anything hehe..

The other day i discovered what the fuss over Nasi Ayam Penyet was all about, then when i had it i realised its a dish that can be done at home in a jiffy though i have to admit the sambal belachan got kick man! So bloody hot and spicy!

Anyways met up with a few friends for dinner, all whom looked as if life had been sucked out of them since they just knock off from work but well when you have good company all that exhaustion will drained out immediately!

The dessert before the main course, cakes melting unfinished,bumping into familiar faces, the one yang 'nak wiwiee!!' selalu, the one with the stupid answer, the one with no balls, heheh, i enjoyed it all!!

Ok the deed was done! What do i think of The Da vinci Code?
Well firstly to be fair any movies that has been adapted from a book will surely be adjusted. Some scenes were cut or even axe and some new scenes added. Im fine with that.

But true enough the code breaking scenes was a disappointment, it was very haste. There was no awe, or the adrenalin rushing in wonderment after the code was being broken (which was what i felt when reading the book). It didn't help that Tom Hanks was quite expressionless when he was either thinking or breaking the code. There was no climax when it comes to that. Silas whose character was the most anticipating one to watch did ok i guess he wasnt as agressive and a tad bit weak but still convincing nonetheless.And it became draggy towards the end, (i knew because i was already fidgeting in my seat and tapping my foot impatiently) they could have made use of the time to bring forward and probably add the scenes that was cut.

On the other hand, Audrey Tatou was a beauty to watch and that french accent was addictive, and she potrayed the character Sophie Neveu quite well. Sir Ian Mckellen as Leigh Teabing steals the show eventually with his light hearted english humor.

And my favourite scenes in the movie? It has to be the part Silas was torturing himself and i got to see the cilice that he was wearing,quite gory.. as well as the last scene of the movie when Robert Langdon figured the resting place of Mary Magdalene. Too bad most scenes were during the night, did not capture much the beautiful historical places at its best though..

I guess if you have not read the book, you will enjoy it better. I happen to ask Baidah what she thought of it from her perspective since she had not read it, according to her it was confusing at first but she enjoyed the suspense building up.

My conclusion of the movie, it certainly did not live up to my initial expectations but its still a good enough movie to watch..So dont miss it!

I cant hardly wait for tonight because im going to watch The Da Vinci Code (which was booked days in advance,yes very typical kiasu but hey almost all theatres were all full and plus our seats that we got are nothing to brag about eh). Tonight is also a belated birthday affair for someone who turned 27 last Monday :)

Anyways, the critics have not been kind to the movie.. And i have to admit my level of anticipation went down a notch..Well i guess i have to watch it myself to judge.. Dying to watch Silas (not the sporting the red eyes apparently) as well as Teabing!

I've been feeling down lately over a certain issue and no its a bigger issue then mulling over my love life though maybe not much it has something to do with it as well..

You know the strangest thing about feeling down was automatically you felt as if the world turns bleak, no one cares, and no really understands what you go through emotionally.. It's the most ugliest feeling ever!

But lucky for me i'm blessed with wonderful souls who will guide me through my darkest time.. And the most amazing thing they did was to simply listen to my cries, i could not ask for more then that.

So right now, im still shaky but doing just fine. For the past couple of days i was able to put my messy mind at ease by meeting bestfriends namely Elfy as well as Islyana, it was great to just fuss over someone else life rather then mine.

And amidst all these i finally satisfy my craving for the scrumptious seafood platter for 2 at fish & co with Elfy who exactly knows what i needed at that point of time :) and it was fun being Isly's personal shopper (last min again) and got to see how gorgeous she can be (which i always knew!), plus the movie date with her last night! The plan was to watch Tom Cruise jumping down high buildings but in the end we settled for the sunken ship (Poseidon) which was a good choice actually because i have my eye candy for the moment now! Everyone scream Josh Lucas pleaseee!!! Gosh a man jumping into a sea of fire, how sexy is that!?! And his deep throaty laugh, goodness!i cant begin to describe how it will be haunting my sweet dreams already! So Mr Pitt can move on over!

Sighh..but what i appreciate most despite the fun i had with them was the pep talk that we had. It was what i needed and wanted. Thank you babes..

Seen a couple of celebrity donning it and looked oh-so-sexay! Tried to look for a ripped off here (yes,above all i still cringe at the thought of spending hundreds of dollars on a pair of heels,unless i happen to be a rich tycoon's daughter, which in this case im not)but sadly the search was futile.

Of course i appreciate any generous beings that believes i deserve those (for god knows the reason why!) hehe plus adding a few more inches to my unflattering height is always welcoming you know.

Interesting encounters/events that occurred the past week..

- 'Damn you, bloody bastard!' escaped out of my nenek's lips, its very rare for that 80 year old delicate granny of mine to swear so imagine my shock when i heard that, yes in english mind you! Tsk..

- well i shopped again this week, no good. My wallet looks fat but do not be deceived,inside you see more receipts then cash.. So if only there is such thing as these receipts could be refunded back in cash at the end of the month, then i wont be so sore after all..haizzz

- been meeting up with good company for free coffees (ooh how i love free coffees!), free laughs, free gift (thanks baidah!),i think that was all that was free this week..

- work is crazy per se

- i finally bought my cloth for Raya this year, since last year i did not get my baju tailored somehow this year im in the mood to be merry (ie; im beginning to pamper and love myself more). My mama was kind enough to sponsor one suit of cloth, the other i paid for burnt a hole in my pocket, although its the french lace ive been dying to own, still there is that tinge of regret all due to the moolah not the lace, i love the lace thank you very much.

- finally or as usual, i manage to patch up a relationship turned sour with that fella.. I had a wonderful conversation and i realised i miss him and his corny jokes..

- went to JB to send my cloths for tailoring, no no im not kiasu, in case you guys don't notice raya is in 5 months time, and actually its considered late already, since my favourite tailor is always fully booked 3 or 2 months before fasting month.
Believe me, there were other tailors that was streaming with Singaporeans when i was there the other day.

-And of course! Polling day, i Illyyanis Hanafi voted for the first time yesterday. When i was young i was intrigued by polling day, and somehow marking the cross seem like fun for a 5 year old girl like me. I did not understand why that task can only be done by those 21 and and above. Now, its a different thing altogether, im still excited at the prospect of finally getting to mark my own cross but since im wiser no longer with 2 pony tails, the responsibility of making a choice can be quite tedious, because one say this another say that..in the end im just glad ive made my decision which was (oops Your Vote is 'secret').. heh

That's my outline of the week, looking forward to this coming week, another public holiday! Fun eh?

This Lady was beaming because she had been looking forward for Monday.

So she met her best friends Baidah and Elfy. Their agenda for the day? Nothing much really..Simply to shop and spend..See pretty easy right

Therefore they had planned their purposes carefully. They started off by filling their stomach, just so they do not want to make un-necessary stop-overs later in the middle of their shopping. They picked the japanese restaurant Ramen Ten and it was no mistake, the food was great, the ramen, the bento, the tempura, the finger food and as well as the sushi. And as you can tell, they pretty much tried everything..Greedy they were! Served them right, they felt so bloated that they were having second thoughts if they were geared up for shopping, plus these 3 idiots were stunned after paying their bills. Yes it was quite pricey (or is it because they ordered too much for 3 people?), i picked the later..



Swooosh, after that it was non-stop see-like-buy kinda thingy, but it was Baidah who spent the most amongst the 3 of them. The other 2 were a bit more cautious, thinking hard before purchasing especially that Lis lady. At the end of the night she realised that the amount that she spent on her lingerie was the most expensive she had ever bought for her other undergarments (much to her mama's horror, but that's another story)...

Miraculously they survived the night without any physical bruises, because it seems the whole population of Singapore's agenda was to shop tonight. The heartbreak that they felt was ka-ching was flowing out fast..oops sorry correction, swipe-beep-beep (sound of the nets machine being used not cash), but then again upon seeing the things that they bought, it was the only consolation that tonight was all worthwhile :)



End of story..

**As of tomorrow, i shall curb myself from spending anymore.. Past few days damages has been done enough. Shall wait for my pay, then everything will be just fine.. (in denial..tsk)
